Clinical pilates rehabilitation for people living with breast cancer
Service Description
**INTRODUCTORY OFFER £60 a course** Located in the Studio at the Live Well Centre, Middlesbrough. A 6 week, clinical pilates rehabilitation course, specifically for people who are living with or have had breast cancer. This course is most beneficial for people who have had breast cancer related surgeries, such as mastectomy or lumpectomy. The course aims to increase range of movement, strength, postural stability and support function in every day life.
Cancellation Policy
By requesting to book a place on the Pilates course, you confirm that you accept the below Terms & Conditions, as well as those listed on https://www.northeastscartherapy.co.uk/terms-conditions 1. All Pilates courses are required to be paid in full following booking to confirm your place. You will be sent a payment link via email or text, using Monzo, from Jenny at North East Scar Therapy. Course fees must be paid within 24 hours of receiving the payment link; should this remain unpaid you will be removed from the course booking. 2. All courses are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your course, you can do so online up to 72 hours before the start time, after this please contact Jenny; please note you will not receive a refund for any cancellations. 3. Prior to the commencement of a Pilates course, you are required to have a 1:1 (30minute) consultation with Jenny to identify aims of engagement on the course, understand your medical history and surgery, demonstrate any range of movement restrictions and generally get to know you. By booking the course, you confirm that you will attend this appointment. 4. This is a group course with a maximum of 5 participants; you will be sharing a studio space with the other participants. By booking the course, you accept that you are happy to do so. 5. Course participants must be at least 6 weeks post-surgical intervention. It is recommended that you seek approval from your oncologist/surgeon to commence this course. 6. By joining the course, you agree to complete a pre and post course feedback form, including indicators of any changes you have seen since completing the Pilates, as well as any feedback you have for the teacher. 7. North East Scar Therapy is trained in the Pink Ribbon Programme (https://www.pinkribbonprogram.com), through APPI, following completion of Level 1 Clinical Matwork Pilates. This course has a rehabilitation focus and aims to improve range of movement, strength, shoulder stability and quality of life. It does not guarantee any of these outcomes. 8. If we cancel your course, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will be offered the option to: -transfer to the next course dates available -receive a full refund -use the cost towards another service provided by North East Scar Therapy 9. We operate a policy which prevents you taking part in a session if you are more than 10 minutes late or class has proceeded beyond warm up (whatever comes first).
